Urban Farming Friday, February 24, 2012 6 pm, Engineering Development Center Auditorium   Please join the Office of Campus Sustainability and Student Environmental Action Leaders for a viewing of Urban Farming followed by a group discussion led by Earth Works Urban Farm involving the urban farming movement in Detroit. An event introduction will be provided by Dr. Kami Pothukuchi, Director of SEEDWayne and Associate Professor of Urban Planning.  Community volunteer opportunities will be available. Engineering Building 5050 Anthony Wayne Drive Marvin I. FLOW Friday, March 30, 2012 Engineering Building 5050 Anthony Wayne Drive Marvin I. Danto Engineering Development Center Auditorium Room 1507 Please join the Office of Campus Sustainability and Student Environmental Action Leaders for a viewing of the film FLOW. The film will be followed by a group discussion led by Flow for Water, a Traverse City non-profit that advocates for water quality issues. An event introduction will be provided by Dr. Carol J. Miller, Co-director of Urban Watershed Environmental Research Group and Department Chair & Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering.  Flow, For Love of Water, explores the growing privatization of the world's dwindling fresh water supply with a focus on politics, pollution, human rights, and the emergence of a domineering world water cartel.   Event starts at 6 pm  – Free to the public A sustainability film will be shown at Wayne State University on the last Friday of each month.   livinggreen.wayne.edu
